DuctSox Releases 2013 Catalog/Design Guide

PEOSTA, Iowa—DuctSox, Peosta, Iowa, a manufacturer of HVAC textile air dispersion technology, has released its free 26-page, Redefining Air Dispersion –2013, a full-line, illustrated catalog and design guide for fabric duct products and accessories for architects, engineers, contractors and other commercial building designers.

The fully-illustrated catalog features DuctSox’s new SkeleCore Series in-duct framework support and dedicates 10 pages to the new HVAC trend of first designing commercial air dispersion around the suspension/fabric retention systems, then selecting fabrics and dispersion.

Previously, engineers and architects chose the fabric first and then added suspension and accessory choices. However, technological advancements such as SkeleCore changes design strategies and results in unprecedented warranties of up to 20 years  for some suspension/fabric retention and textile product combinations.

The catalog also features several pages of architecturally photographed applications, in addition to DuctSox’s complete line of suspension, fabric, air flow and accessories for textile air distribution duct. A history of textile duct can help familiarize HVAC industry members to a ventilation method that today commands nearly a 10 percent market share of open architectural air distribution projects worldwide.

The catalog also includes illustrations and descriptions of DuctSox’s new nozzle that can be adjusted to either throw air up to 60 feet fully open, throttled for custom distances or closed.  Other sections also include the many optional air flow, diffuser and textile types available to project specifiers. Sections also include design strategies with UnderFloorSox for under-floor air distribution, KitchenSox for commercial cooking area ventilation, LabSox for laboratory IAQ and ChemSox for corrosive industrial environments.
