ONTARIO, Calif. – The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials is accepting applications and seeking technical experts to participate on a task group relating to A2L refrigerants.

The scope of the A2L Task Group is to review all of the A2L proposed code changes and propose recommendations to coordinate the requirements with a pending update to ASHRAE 15; and provide recommendations as to how the Uniform Mechanical Code should address the A2L low global warming potential refrigerants. The recommendations of the A2L Task Group will be forwarded to the UMC Technical Committee for consideration.

Task group members will participate via conference call or web meeting, provide their perspective on the code, and assist in drafting action recommendations for the UMC Technical Committee’s consideration.
