MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The new, second generation YORK touch-screen residential thermostat from Johnson Controls incorporates smart technology to communicate with both conventional and connected HVAC systems, allowing contractors to sell a single thermostat solution across multiple product tiers and offer homeowners a complete YORK home comfort system.

Engineered for easy installation and optimal performance, the communicating control draws on Johnson Controls’ deep expertise in building automation. Near field communication, a set of short-range wireless technologies and a dedicated distributor app, available on Android-equipped devices, enables contractors to preconfigure settings before arriving at a residence for easier setup and ongoing remote support for homeowner peace of mind. Contractors can also control fault features to help eliminate nuisance calls.
